News - The first ever World Cup is soon to be a reality!
The first ever World Cup is soon to be a reality!

One of the requirements for Olympic status is a World Championship (which we have every 2 years) and another major event (preferably a World Cup) held every year in between. Our sport now has a World Championship (May 2007 on the Ottawa) and a World Cup. Olympic status also requires participation of at least 50 countries. Do your part by encouraging your international paddling friends to put the Ottawa on their schedule.

Finals at Rock Island
Finals day at Rock Island today, and what a day it was. The single ride totals were larger than combined ride totals for qualifying. That means everyone stepped up to the plate and brought there A game. We have a ton of images check out the gallery sec

Day 2 of Qualifying at Rock Island Over
Qualifying Day 2 at Rock Island turned out to be a battle of the bulges. Avoiding the bulge that sometimes comes through the hole on the Caney Fork was the name of the game today. There were some big upsets today as big names didn’t make the cut.

Rock Island Day 1
Rock Island event took off with a release from the hydro company today. Junior men’s preliminaries were the only ones to be fit in to this tight schedule. The Caney Fork watershed has been in drought all summer. When it was all said and done the

Final Results on the Black River
The sun came out today on the Black River in Watertown, NY for finals day today. The action certianly turned up the heat when the Men’s Semi’s started the day off. After finals there were some upsets in the Junior Women’s Category.
